For the third year in a row, Lucas will be raising funds to support life-changing cerebral palsy research and funding essential equipment and services.
STEPtember beckons, a virtual challenge that invites you to commit to the goal of achieving 10,000 steps a day, or an equivalent level of movement, throughout September. Remarkably inclusive in nature, this challenge encompasses a diverse array of movements, spanning activities such as walking, swimming, dancing, weightlifting, cycling, gardening, various sports, running, and beyond—over 40 activities in total. With each stride we take, and every dollar we collectively raise, we are sowing the seeds of profound change.
In the span of every 20 hours, a child in Australia is confronted with a cerebral palsy diagnosis. Embarking on this challenge and orchestrating fundraising endeavours for research, treatment advancements, services, and assistive technologies contributes to enriching the lives of those navigating cerebral palsy. Statistics paint a vivid picture: 1 in 2 children experience chronic pain, 1 in 3 are deprived of the ability to walk, and 1 in 4 are robbed of their voice.
While we can't erase their struggles, we can undoubtedly brighten their journey through united support. If you’d like to make a positive impact and join the Lucas Team on this challenge or support the cause you can click on the below link which will take you to our Fundraising Page.
