I am so excited to see this project finally come to fruition! Having worked in Docklands for over a decade and lived in the area for half of that, I have sold many properties for clients who love the area and hadn’t even outgrown their apartments, but reluctantly had to move homes to get their kids into a catchment zone or cut down the commute to and from school. Well, no longer will that be a problem...

The highly anticipated Docklands Primary School is set to open its door in just a matter of weeks, with students soon to commence Term 1 of 2021. With Docklands being one of the fastest-growing suburbs in inner Melbourne (2016 census), this is an exciting step for both existing Docklands families and families looking to purchase in an area that will cater to their children’s needs.

Students at the new vertical Docklands Primary School will have access to a library, music and arts rooms, outdoor learning terraces, and a competition-grade indoor sports court for netball and basketball. The three-storey school will cater for 525 students. There will also be an on-site early learning centre with two kindergarten rooms and 66 kindergarten places will also be included. Having the kindergarten and school together will help local children make a smooth transition from pre-school and reduce the number of drop-offs for some parents with kindergarten and school-aged children.

Having walked past it almost daily since construction started and recently seeing it complete, I don’t know about you, but I am keen to go back to school again, well ok maybe just for a tour of the campus!
