SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES
SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES

We're thrilled to see Melbourne opening back up and highlighted by the sunny weather these last couple of days, it was the perfect chance for us to drop by our favourite businesses here in Docklands! From coffee to ramen, read on as our sales team across the Lucas Group shares their favourites!

Mark – Star Ugg & Sheep Skin
This local shop is run by a mother and daughter combination, luckily unlike so many they survived the lockdown, but they can only continue if we support them now more than ever. My spoilt senior dog “Boston” now has 4 lambswool beds to choose to sleep away the day and night in comfort. They always have fantastic sales like this one is buy one get the second 50% off.

Cary – A25
Great coffee, cool vibe and the best pizza! While A25 stuck with us throughout the lockdown providing takeaway coffee, food and some great Italian take-home meals and produce - nothing beats sitting down and having a meal at this usual lively local favourite. Their bright neon “pizza is sexy” sign says it all because at A25 it is.

Vicky – Fukutontei Ramen
Perfect for noodle lovers, Fukutontei Ramen is the best ramen joint in Docklands. A casual atmosphere where you can sit indoors or outdoors. I'm very happy to be back to be able to dine in again. Definitely a great catch-up place with clients and colleagues. They offer a wide range of ramen and other Izakaya style dishes. If you are around, you must try their signature Tonkatsu ramen in rich bone broth!

Kong – Charlie Bit Me
A new addition to Victoria Harbour – Charlie Bit Me is positioned right in front of the community garden which provides great food and atmosphere, particularly on a sunny day where you can enjoy lunch on the grass, a coffee and even a cheeky margarita.

Lynn – Min Café
Min Café is run by local Docklands resident, Ellie, who has kept her door open throughout the lockdown serving excellent coffee and healthy meals! Over 10 years of experience being a pharmacist and seeing too many individual's quality of life affected by mental & physical illness, MIN was created to introduce a way of life that focuses on quality, wellness & sustainability. This is my secret place to get my bubble tea fix!

Thomas – Cargo
A personal favourite of not only the Lucas Team but all of Docklands, Cargo is the perfect relaxed dining experience in Docklands. As much as we have loved the quality take away service through the lockdowns, I know I won’t be the only one enjoying the fresh tap beer and wood fire pizza’s in the sun for the rest of Spring and beyond!

Serena – Gourmet Deli House
I love getting my weekly deli meat and dips from Gourmet Deli House in The District Docklands. They have a wide range of fresh selections of cheese, cured meat, dips, pesto, sauce, biscuits etc. Check this deli out if haven’t yet.

Mia – Mad Duck Café
I feel right at home walking into Mad Duck, feels like you are going to see friends rather than just getting your coffee. It is all about the interaction with the staffs, we can joke around with them and they remember my name and my coffee. They also support me with what I do in the local area. It is good to have them around.

Kristen & Jenna – The Espressonist
We love catching up at The Espressonist located underneath the Array building, the coffee is fantastic, it has a great vibe and it’s a perfect place to sit on a nice sunny day, chat to locals and take in the amazing views!

Ricky - Saluministi
My go-to place to get my coffee with a great variety of food. Saluministi has now added extra outdoor seatings to cater for your catch-up with friends and family.
